Kebabs and Curries is a restaurant located at the roof terrace of Mustafa Centre that opened in 2011. It is a 400-seater restaurant that cover events on top of normal dining. Within the glass dome of the restaurant, guests can hold baby showers, birthday parties or even weddings! On top of that, the restaurant also does catering services for its food. The food that the restaurant specializes in is traditional Muslim-Indian and even Mediterranean food that is widely popular among locals - Nasi Bryani, Kebabs and Naans!

In the first video above, you will be able to feel the vibes of this restaurant that is very different from downstairs. The area feels classy, serene and enjoyable. More thought was also put in the table settings, the lights and the ceiling fixtures as compared to the mart downstairs. Perhaps the objective of this restaurant was to provide a nice hang-out place for family and friends to break bread.

With a nice dome shaped restaurant, seconded an interior designer we consulted (Annex B, response from Interior Designer Kai), located on roof terrace of the latest extension of Mustafa Centre and an open space allowing customers to enjoy a serene atmosphere, the roof terrace of Mustafa Centre’s latest extension is a reflection of their growth in providing such a luxurious space. Domes are first seen in techniques adaptable to small buildings in ancient Middle East, India, and the Mediterranean (Encylopaedia Britannica, Dome – Architecture). They are also a prominent feature in most Mosques – “a symbolic representation of the vault of heaven” (Introduction to Mosque architecture, Khan Academy). Perhaps the dome shaped restaurant on the roof terrace of Mustafa Centre’s latest extension is a reflection of Mr Mustaq Ahmad’s religious heritage and culture.
